A moment in the seasons

The Sun Rise beginning of Winter 2009
Winter months in the mountains keep you busy with salting the driveway and keeping the fireplace lit. You drive to the bus stop instead of walking your kids the 150 feet from your front door. We make plans to stay in doors rather than making plans to shop or drive to the nearest gas station for fuel. We order take out to be delivered right to our door, but if it was 80 degrees outside we would take our family out to eat or ever BBQ in our back yard. But when the weather changes and mother nature takes a vacation we all seem to keep indoors and away from the rest of the world.

Winter in the Mountains 2010
In the mountains at winter time we smile as the snow falls but we frown when it decides to stay a while. A blanket of snow makes everything look brand new. The trees have been dusted with a powdery white and the ground has gotten a gift from mother nature in the form of a white blanket or rug. The town where we live has it's own way of dealing with pending snow and that is to buy all the milk and bread in the stores. It's sort of funny when you go to get milk and there is a sign that says sorry sold out due to snow.

Spring purple 2010

Spring color 2010
Spring is a beautiful season with it's brilliant colors and new beauty growing everyday. Sure our allergies kick in to over drive but to see what we see when they stay at bay. I myself love the purples and yellows. We wait through the few weeks or month of a good part of spring and then we see the flowers popping up all around us.

Spring brings in so many new visitors, that need to follow spring so they can live.
For us its about the perfect weather and the superb color combinations. The sheer fact that we will soon see summer poking in to say hello and then its off to the water where we will get suntanned or burnt which ever the case may be.

Summer by the lake 2010

Break out the fishing poles and bathing suits, the sun is up and it is a blistering 92 degrees... hahaha Really it gets pretty warm up in the mountains. Dry heat, they say. Well, I say, sweat is still sweat and there is nothing dry about that.
And summer is when we do the out door thing. Well, some of us do.
It seems the weather has its ups and downs in the summer, rain, rain, rain and sunshine, then rain again.. :)

So the seasons are a changin' and all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the weather, the colors, and the things to do. Keep in mind that each season does not last very long.

From me to you, ENJOY!
